On the day of his heavenly protector Metropolitan Onuphrius of Kiev and All Ukraine performed Divine services on the square in front of the Holy Dormition Cathedral of the Lavra.

During Liturgy The Head of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church was concelebrated by the permanent members of the Holy Synod of the UOC: metropolitan Agathangelos of Odessa and Ismail, Head of the Church Court of the UOC metropolitan Theodor of Kamenets-Podolskyi and Horodok, Vicegerent of the Holy Dormition Kiev-Caves Lavra metropolitan Pavel of Vyshgorod and Chornobyl, the UOC Administrative metropolitan Anthony of Boryspil and Brovary as well as the array of the hierarchs, the Lavra clergy and the Monastery guests in the holy rite.

Upon reading the Gospel during the Liturgy, Metropolitan Onuphrius proclaimed a sermon to the parish and pilgrims in the Lavra, narrating of the life path and acts of venerable Onuphrius the Great, honored on this day.

In the evening before, His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphrius served the night vigil in the same place.
