Fifty days after the Bright Sunday, all Orthodox Christians solemnly celebrates the day when the Holy Conciliar and Apostolic Church was established.

On the Pentecost or the Great Feast of the Holy and Life-Giving Trinity, the descent of the Holy Spirit in the shape of tongues of fire on the Apostles is remembered and praised. Since then, evangelization began to spread all over the world. The followers of the Christ at the expense of their lives fulfilled God’s blessing for enlightening all peoples by the Light of Christ and “baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit…” (Matthew, 28:19).

This is the dedication feast in our Caves Monastery. On the territory of the Lavra, there is the most ancient church, which came down to us and which was named after the Holy Trinity among the first in Kyiv Rus.
