Vicegerent of the Holy Dormition Kiev-Caves (Kiev-Pechersk) Lavra, metropolitan Pavel of Vyshgorod and Chornobyl met at his residence with metropolitan Athenagoras of Mexico, the exarch of Central America and the Caribbean. Although His Grace carries out his obedience in the countries of the central part of North American Continent, he was born in a Greek family and is an ethnic Greek. His Grace carries out the arch-priest obedience in Central America for 30 years and represents Patriarch of Constantinople in this region. Upon his arrival to Ukraine, metropolitan Athenagoras visited the Kiev-Caves Lavra on short notice.
