On the memory day of the assassination of Metropolitan of Kyiv, Holy Martyr Vladimir (Bogoyavlenskiy), the Vicegerent of the Kyiv-Caves Lavra chaired the Divine Liturgy at the Refectory Church of Venerable Anthony and Theodosius of the Caves. The evening before, the all-night vigil with a festive lity was celebrated in the same church. During the divine services, metropolitan Pavel of Vyshgorod and Chornobyl was joined by the clergymen of the Lavra and of the capital city.

After reading the Gospel at the Liturgy, His Eminence Pavel addressed all the praying with a sermon and spoke about the life path and martyrdom of Holy Martyr Vladimir, honored on this day.

After the great entrance, the priestly consecration of the Lavra inhabitant, hierodeacon Isaac, was performed.

During the service, augmented prayers were offered for the ending of the withering pestilence, for God’s help to doctors in healing the sick as well as for the health of the same-named Church servants. At the end of the Liturgy, a prayer was read at the icon of Holy Martyr Vladimir with a particle of his holy relics. Afterwards, metropolitan Pavel thanked the concelebrating brethren for the prayer and congratulated all on the day of memory of Martyr Vladimir, the communicants on the acceptance of the Body and the Blood of Christ and called on archpastoral blessing for all.
