On the memory day of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker, it is the custom to follow the God’s Pleaser and give presents to kids. A pure soul perceives these surprises as a small miracle, thus the brethren of the Social Department of the Kyiv-Caves Lavra try to visit large families during the holidays.

Archimandrite Aretha and archdeacon Philaret visited the wards of the Social Department living in different localities of the Kyiv region. The kids sincerely rejoiced at the guests’ visit, gratefully accepted sweets and toys, and shared their unpretentious news with the clergymen.

Icons, food sets, clothes and other necessities were also handed over from the Lavra.

Brothers and sisters! We ask for help for the wards of the Social Department of the Kyiv-Caves Lavra. It is welcome to donate clothes and shoes. We will be thankful for long-storable foods, personal hygiene products, sanitizers, household chemicals and other things needed for people in difficult living conditions.
