Metropolitan Pavel of Vyshgorod and Chornobyl is the spiritual guide not only for the brethren of the monastery, but, for 20 years under the patronage of His Grace, for the children in uneasy life condition. Friendly and trustful relations are supported with Roman Korniyko, the manager of the “Father’s House” Social Projects Community. All possible aid and support is rendered to the kids from the children’s house under the wing of this organization with the blessing of the Vicegerent of the Holy Dormition Kiev-Caves Lavra.

Understanding the needs of the children’s house, metropolitan Pavel helped to arrange vegetable storage, and recently, with metropolitan’s blessing, archpriest Sergius Lantsyshko brought 5 tones of potatoes to the house to be safely stored in winter.

Roman Korniyko responded to the care about children of the Caves monastery represented by its Vicegerent, and outlined sizable welfare to the kids, namely help with different foodstuffs, possibility to have fresh milk from the Lavra household facilities, the construction of the mentioned vegetable storage. The gratitude letter addressed to the Vicegerent of the Caves monastery, metropolitan Pavel, was ended with the phrase from Gospel: “… Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of my brothers, ye did it not to Me“ (Matthew 25:40), where God says that a man should help everyone in need who God places on man’s life path.
