On the main dedication day of the Holy-Dormition Kiev-Caves Lavra, namely the Dormition of the Most Holy Theotokos, the Primate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphrius of Kyiv and All Ukraine led the solemn divine services. The evening before, the Primate headed the night vigil with bringing out of the Veil in the Dormition Cathedral of the Lavra. During the small vespers, the reading of the Acathistus to the Dormition to the Mother of God was performed compositely led by the Vicegerent of the Lavra. The brotherly vigil with the Deposition rite of the Most Holy Theotokos and the Acathistus was led by the rural dean, archimandrite Anthony, in the Refectory Church of venerable Anthony and Theodosius of the Caves. On the very day of the feast, His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphrius performed the Divine Liturgy on the square in front of the Great Church.
