On one of the Great Feasts, the Nativity of the Most Holy Theotokos, the Vicegerent of the Holy Dormition Kiev-Caves Lavra led the festivities of the Dedication Day in the Church in Kovalivka village of the Vasylkiv region of the Kiev oblast. In the evening before, metropolitan Pavel led the night vigil in the Dormition Cathedral of the Kiev-Caves Lavra, joined by archbishops Panteleimon of Bucha, Hilary of Makarivka and Kliment of Irpin, as well as the brethren of the Lavra in the holy order.

During the Liturgy, the Vicegerent was co-serviced by archbishops Panteleimon and Hilary as well as Aleksandr of Horodnytsia, by bishops and numerous clergy.

Metropolitan Pavel turned to the pilgrims with the sermon speech on the commemorated event of the Giving Birth to the Theotokos from the holy righteous Joachim and Anna, who were of rather advanced age.

M. Pavel conveyed the blessing of the Primate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphrius of Kyiv and All Ukraine to all the praying. Special gratitude from father Pavel for continuous care of the Church of the Most Holy Mother of God Nativity and for aid to the monasteries and other churches was addressed to the church benefactor, Hero of Ukraine Tatiana Zasukha and her family.
