On the memory day of one of the most revered saints of the Kiev-Caves Lavra, Venerable Agapitus, the unmercenary physician, solemn divine services were held in the Lavra. The night before, the relics of the saint were translated by the brethren of the monastery from the Near caves, where they usually rest in peace, to the Refectory Church of St. Anthony and Theodosius of the Caves. After the prayer service in front of the relics of St. Agapitus, the all-night vigil was performed, headed by the Vicegerent of the Holy Dormition Kiev-Caves Lavra, metropolitan of Vyshgorod and Chernobyl Pavel.

His Eminence the Vicegerent was joined in the service by Administrative Director of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, metropolitan Anthony of Boryspil and Brovary; metropolitan Agapitus of Mohyliv-Podilskyi and Shargorod, archbishop Panteleimon of Bucha, archbishop Barsanuphius of Vinnytsia and Bar, bishop Bogolep of Alexandria and Svetlovodsk, bishop Victor of Baryshevka, bishop Ambrose of Zhurivka, the brethren and guests of the Lavra in the holy rite. Lity was performed by bishop Ambrose.

After the polyeleos, all the praying could come close to the relics of Venerable Agapitus and were anointed with holy oil.

On the very day of the feast, the Divine Liturgy was headed by the Vicegerent of the Holy Caves Monastery, metropolitan Pavel in the same church jointly with the preconsecrated arch-priests and numerous clergy. Before the Liturgy, the brethren of the Lavra collectively performed the Acathistus to the Venerable Agapitus of the Caves.

During the divine service, the augmented prayers about peace in Ukraine and the unity of the Orthodox Church were offered.

Upon the end of the Liturgy, metropolitan Pavel thanked the concelebrating bishops and priests for prayers, congratulated  metropolitan Agapitus as well as the inhabitants of the monastery archimandrite Agapitus and hierodeacon Agapitus having the name of the saint on the day of their heavenly patron. The communicants were congratulated on the acceptance of the Life-Giving Sacraments of Christ. Akso the Vicegerent delivered the orders of the UOC to the medical workers, carrying out their professional activities in the city of Kiev, present at the divine service.

Upon the solemn divine service the Vicegerent of the Lavra led the procession with the relics of Venerable Agapitus to the Near Caves. At the entrance to the caves, a prayer service was performed, after which all the praying were sprinkled with the holy water, and longevity was sung to the consecrated council.
