On the day of the Revealing of the Relics of holy Hieromartyr Vladimir (Bogoyavlenskiy), the Metropolitan of Kiev and Galych, the solemn divine services were performed in the Lavra. In the evening before, the relics of the Saint were brought from the Far Caves, where they permanently rest in peace, to the Refectory Church of Venerable Anthony and Theodosius of the Caves. The night vigil was also led there near the relics of Hieromartyr Vladimir, which in concelebration of the brethren of the Holy Caves Monastery was headed by archbishop Damian of Fastiv, the vicegerent of the Holy Friary Monastery of the capital named after the Entry of the Most Holy Theotokos into the Temple, and bishop Andrew of Petropavlivka.

On the very day of the feast, the Divine Liturgy in the same church was performed by the vicar of the Dnipropetrovsk eparchy of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, bishop Andrew of Petropavlivka, who carried the obedience of a sacristan in the Kiev-Caves Lavra before being chosen for the archpriest service. Father Andrew was co-serviced by the brethren of the Lavra in the holy rite.

During the Divine Service, augmented prayers were offered for peace in Ukraine and unity of the Orthodox Church.

According to the postcommunion verse, the Holy Dormition Kyiv-Caves Lavra inhabitant, hieromonk Innocent addressed the parishioners of the Lavra and the pilgrims with the sermon speech, and spoke about the life, service and martyrdom of holy Hieromartyr Vladimir, continuing as follows: “The whole life of holy Hieromartyr Vladimir is an example of humility for us, and at the same time, the uncompromising standing in faith, which meant that he had to suffer plenty of grief throughout his pastoral and archpastoral service. His prayers now lit up the lamp of prayer on the Caves’ Hills again, the tears of repentance of the Lavra monks shed again. Owed thereto, thousands of souls and hearts of pilgrims find comfort and consolation here. Due to the intercession of Hieromartyr Vladimir at the Throne of the Creator, we all have the opportunity to pray here at our great sanctuary again. By his prayers, the Lord will continue to preserve all of us in this single-mindedness and will lead to prayerful and spiritual appeasement!”

Upon the completion of the Liturgy, the Cross Procession with the relics of the Hieromartyr Vladimir was held to the Far Caves, where the prayer service was performed, thereafter all those who prayed at the Divine Service were sprinkled with the holy water and the “longevity” was sung.
