On December, 12, in the Holy Dormition Kyiv-Caves Lavra, the Orthodox Fair started. This event is devoted to the memory of Saint Nicholas Wonderworker.

After the prayer performed by the Lavra priest carrying obedience in the Social Department turned to all who came. Father Lukian reminded the great life and miracles of the Saint and requested God’s blessing for those who prayed for “…all of us to obtain merit to pass the Fast stage with God’s act, to remember that we should change and transfigure in our lives following Christ and keeping God’s commandments“.

Upon the joint prayer, the fair’s products were blessed with the consecrated water.

For the attention of the permanent attendants of the Lavra fairs and guests of the monastery, there are icons and liturgical implements, books for the Orthodox readers, beekeeping products, the honey of the new sip, medicative herbal tea to name a few. Also one can request remembrance prayer for the living and the gone in the monasteries participating in the event.

The Fair is open from 9.00 till 19.00 till December, 20. Location: the roofed path to the Near Caves (the territory of the Lower Lavra). Entrance is free.
