On the Thursday of the Great Canon, two riassaphore monks were tonsured as stavrophore monks with the blessing of His Eminence Metropolitan Pavel of Vyshgorod and Chornobyl, the abbot of the Lavra.

Archimandrite Anthony, the monastery’s spiritual father, performed the rite. After the service, the newly tonsured monks went to the Elevation of the Cross Church, where they prayed for three days.
