The Holy Dormition Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra represented by the ecclesiastical leader, the sacred archimandrite of the Lavra, His Beatitude metropolitan Onuphrius of Kyiv and All Ukraine, and vicegerent of the Lavra metropolitan Pavel of Vyshgorod and Chornobyl with the God-entrusted brotherhood have always taken active part not only in the monastery’s life on the territory of the Low Lavra, but also cared for the relics of the Upper Lavra, where the National Kyiv-Pechersk History and Culture Preserve now works. This is reflected not only in the evening divine service, Divine Liturgy, Penance Sacrement for prayers to God, who “flow” to the Holy Lavra to worship its great relics, but also in the support the monastery has been providing to the churches on its upper territory.
